A few more pages..

Here are a few more of the pages I have done, for the sake of keeping down the images in the post you can check out the rest in the flickr folder, Be warned though some pages may change, the first of these is painted over one I didn’t fancy  that was in the book.. :) Which I have a habit of doing :)

Hi!

So, thanks to Drew I am what seems to be the newest participant of this lovely little treasure. This here is my sketchbook, it is made from pages from my course visual diaries, which often do not get completely filled. I hate to waste those pages at the end and generally make new sketchbooks from them to use. I have been binding my own sketchbooks for a few years and prefer it over store brought books, personal choice.

This particular book contains 120/240 pages of 110gsm cartridge paper which has been cut and folded to a size of 14cm x 17cm x 2.5cm, the cover is 3mm book board, which while not my preferred choice works fine(I prefer 5mm). It is covered in 2 shades of green linen which is attached with heat fusible webbing. the elastic is attached with 2 small aged paper fasteners (brads) on the back and the covers are finished on the inside with some 96gsm brown craft paper.

The pages are bound with 4ply green waxed linen thread in a Coptic style, and lastly there are 2 book marks from the same linen thread and both have brown beads at the bottom, one being bigger than the other.  Hopefully you will like this and the pages to come! Thanks again to Drew :) Here be pictures!
